Enterprise WeCar

Hi All,

FYI.  In Upstate SC we have been working with Enterprise on their WeCar program: http://www.wecar.com/content/car-sharing/en_US.html, which "is a membership-based car sharing program for people who are looking for an alternative method of transportation that lowers the cost and reduces the hassles of traditional transportation." 

However we are taking it to the next level and the vehicles are actually EVs instead of ICEs.  To support the program, we have EVSE installed at the GSP Airport, downtown Greenville, and we are about to add another POD location out at Clemson University.  One of the cool things about the POD out at Clemson is that Enterprise allows students under 25, as well as international students, to rent the vehicles as long at their have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.  This should not only reduce vehicle emissions, but should also reduce the total number of cars on campus as well, which is another goal of the Administration.
