Progress Energy Carolinas installs 6 electric vehicle charging stations in Asheville

Progress Energy and Duke Energy Installing Residential EV Charging Stations
Progress Energy has launched their Plugged In Program to install 240-volt residential charging stations at the homes of customers who have purchased plug-in electric vehicles. The program will cover the station purchase and installation costs up to $1,500. Progress Energy will own, service and maintain the charging station until the program ends in April 2013. Hi Brian,
Last I heard was a station beside the Spearman Building parking lot.
Brian-
The Town of Montreat has spoken with both Montreat College and Montreat Conference Center about potential sites. We have received preliminary approval for a location in the parking lot above the Kirk Allen Building next to the four-way intersection of Lookout Road and Appalachian Way. If it looks like our grant request is approved, we will need to have further discussion with the College to firm up the deal.
