What expertise or resources do you offer?: I currently manage environmental and compliance regulatory affairs both in reporting and managing the programs. For the environmental aspect this includes; Energy, GHG inventory and reductions, waste minimization, hazardous chemicals, emissions, water, storm water run-off and all associated environmental certifications for our facilities and products.
I am responsible for the programs that satisfy the requirements of The Consumer Product Safety Information act and the program that addresses the US Lacey Act.
I have experience with Life Cycle Assessment studies using SimaPro and the EPA's TRACI program. I was part of the beta test group for the openLCA framework which is an open source LCA tool.
I have recently been coordinating my companies efforts to achieve BIFMA level certification for our Design product line.
I have served on the American Home Furnishing Alliance EFEC (Enhancing Furnitures Environmental Culture) Board of Examiners.
I am a certified LEAN facilitator and trainer.
I am co-author of the CARB Compliance Toolbox for the Furniture Industry. This is a how to guide for manufacturers, fabricators, importers and retailers on complying with the California Air Resource Boards formaldehyde limits in composite wood products, as of today it has been translated into Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
