It is one of 17 such organizations in the state and serves the counties of Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania. I want to share news about two RFPs for Clean Diesel projects that were recently announced by the state (NC DENR) and by the US EPA. The Biofuels Center of North Carolina was established in 2007 by the General Assembly with the charge to increase the capacity for producing renewable transportation fuels within the state.
