Greensboro Receives $5 million from DOE for Power Saver Home Energy Retrofit
Greensboro will be a test city for a new federal loan program, designed to help homeowners finance energy efficiency projects. The city was chosen to test out the PowerSaver Home Energy Retrofit loans since Greensboro is the recipient of a $5 million Department of Energy grant to run a home renovation program, said Dan Curry, the city's community sustainability manager.
