PITTSBURGH, Mar 08, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation has received a $1.84 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) for the development and demonstration of more efficient commercial electric vehicle (EV) chargers. The Electric Power Research Institute, the research arm of the power industry, picked the Raleigh Convention Center for its 2011 meeting on the plug-in electric car.
