Local Nissan dealerships can now accommodate Nissan LEAF reservation holders in North Carolina, and will be able to start placing their orders today. Once reservation holders accept their online quote they can expect to receive their LEAF in 90 to 120 days. The Catawba County Board of Commissioners award a construction bid to Hamlett Associates for $775,786 to build a crop processing facility at the Biodiesel Research Facility. They also approved a contract for administration and construction observation with Mcgill Associates for $55,000. North Carolina regular gas prices have risen $.45 from Feb. 2010 to Feb. 2011. The North Carolina Monthly Petro Price Monitor issued on Feb. 8th 2010 indicates that prices continue to rise. Primary use of vehicles in NC is light duty transportation, as 76% of vehicles traveling are light duty vehicles. As such, 73% of petroleum products imported into NC are regular gasoline.
