Appalachian State University, AdvantageWest, NC Arboretum, and others awarded grants from NC Energy Office for green energy internships

RALEIGH – Twenty-three private businesses, public agencies, and public and private universities will receive $5.6 million to create 400 jobs and internships to give students hands-on experience and training in North Carolina’s energy economy, the North Carolina Energy Office announced today. CO2 Emissions to Rise 3.2% This Year, EIA Projects

U.S. carbon dioxide emissions from energy use will climb 3.2 percent this year on economic growth and higher use of fossil fuels to generate electricity, the Energy Information Administration forecast today.
