International Code Council votes to increase building energy standards 30 percent!
In their hearings in early November, building officials from around the country overwhelmingly voted to increase energy efficiency standards in buildings by 30%. By taking this landmark step with the 2012 International Energy Conservation Code which serves as the model for state and local codes, this decision has the potential to have a transformational impact on the built environment, to foster significant green job creation, and to help maintain economic competitiveness.
