The Biofuels Center of North Carolina seeks a visionary, creative, and experienced professional to position the Center and biofuels statewide and beyond with key constituencies and audiences through clear messages, targeted strategies, varied communicational formats, and trust. Established by the Legislature in 2007 to implement North Carolina’s Strategic Plan for Biofuels Leadership, the Center is a private non-profit corporation permanently funded by the Legislature. The Center is located on North Carolina’s Biofuels Campus, in Oxford.
The Center of North Carolina has the long-term task of developing a large-scale biofuels industry sector to reduce the state's dependence on imported petroleum. North Carolina’s Strategic Plan for Biofuels Leadership sets the goal of replacing 10% of the petroleum imported into North Carolina with biofuels locally grown and produced.
The Director, Communications and Public Affairs will perform senior level work and leadership in five broad areas, strategically interrelated but necessarily different in required approach and activities.
To view the full position profile, visit the Biofuels Center of North Carolina's website.
For best consideration, applications should be provided by 9 December 2011; however, the position will remain open until filled. An application should include a letter describing relevant experiences and interest in the position, a resume, and the names of at least five references with titles, addresses, business telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.
