Primary job function and duties: The Sustainability Planner/Project Manager is responsible for administration, implementation and coordination of activities for the City of Greensboro Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) programs. The City of Greensboro's EECBG programs include the Better Buildings Residential & Commercial Energy Efficiency Retrofit Grant and the EECBG Formula Grant (funds multiple community-based, education & outreach and public infrastructure projects). Primary duties include coordination of activities for all components of the City’s EECBG programs (budget management, community outreach, data collection, financing, marketing, etc), preparation of federal grant reports, public meeting facilitation, and management of consultant contracts. Employee will be responsible leading a team to ensure program performance goals are met, and for interpretation and implementation of local, state and federal regulations related to EECBG programs. This employee will also be responsible for the oversight of work performed by part-time or roster employees. The employee in this position has considerable contact with community groups, contractors, residents and serves as liaison to federal funding agency and other government agencies. This position is grant funded with the funding likely to be available through May 2013. The City reserves the option to terminate the position if grant funding is not available. This job is Exempt and is not subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. |
