This weekend! NC Tax Free Energy Star Appliances

This Friday marks the start of tax free weekend on energy star appliances. This will run from Friday morning to Sunday evening and is applicable to most appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and the like that meet the federal government's Energy Star guidelines.
The tax exemption applies to items bought in stores or by mail, telephone or Internet. There is no limit or ceiling to the price of the appliance to qualify for tax-free status.
